LOS ANGELES (Hollywood Reporter) - The Fox primetime series "Dont Forget the Lyrics" will get some casting help from a new companion online game being developed by the shows producer, RDF USA.
Part of the game, which will be available on Fox.com, enables players to upload video of themselves singing; submissions will in turn be reviewed by the shows producers for consideration as future on-air contestants.
The "Lyrics" game is one of two such properties being developed by RDF, which plans to make casual games a new area for the company to explore. RDF is also at work on a mobile game to accompany the A&E series "The Two Coreys."
"This is a natural extension for us as we continue to explore ways to maximize the value of our show brands," said Max Benator, head of digital media for RDF USA. "Any production company that wants to survive in this changing media landscape should be creating for as many platforms as possible - and Im glad were finding successes in doing that."
