Los Angeles (E! Online) - She might not want her dad controlling her life, but Britney Spears did want him to guide her out of the hospital over the weekend.
So said Jamie Spears in a declaration filed Monday in support of his argument to remain temporary conservator of his daughters estate.
After Britney tried multiple times to get in touch with her father on Sunday, while he was catering a large Super Bowl party, he eventually arrived at UCLA Medical Center, where the 26-year-old songstress has been hospitalized since Thursday, shortly before 5 p.m., according to documents filed in Los Angeles Superior Court.
When I arrived at the hospital, Britney was lying down, Spears stated. I leaned over to kiss her. She turned her head away from me. I said to her, I love you. Britney said, No, you dont.
Britney then allegedly accused someone of lying to her, telling her dad, You put me in here.
Per Spears account, a nurse who tried to show Britney the doctors orders then told her, Your daddy is not keeping you in here. The hospital is keeping you in here.
Britney learned Sunday that she would be calling UCLA home for another 14 days after doctors determined her condition merited an extended period of observation. She was originally held at the hospital as a 5150 case, meaning she was considered a danger to herself or others.
After the nurse tried to explain, Spears filing reads, Britney then said to me, Come on, Daddy. Lets get out of here. [Take] my hand and lets walk out of here together.
I then said to her, I wish I could, but I cant.
Then, Spears said, he asked Britney if she wanted his help getting permission to visit her kids, who she has not seen since Jan. 3, when she refused to hand Jayden James over to Kevin Federlines camp and was subsequently hospitalized for a little more than a day at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center.
According to Spears statement, Britney told him that she had fired her old lawyers and hired new ones.
The law office of Trope & Trope, which motioned to be removed as counsel in her ongoing custody battle early last month, is still representing her.
Attorney Adam Trope, who appeared on Britneys behalf at the conservatorship hearing Monday, was ousted from the courtroom after the Spears familys camp successfully argued that the Toxic singer wasnt capable of hiring her own lawyer at this point.
Bolstering his and Lynne Spears argument against Sam Lutfi having contact with their daughter, Spears also said in his declaration that Britney told him that her friend and manager had wrongfully taken some property of hers.
She asked me to help her get it back, Jamie said. I told her that I would.
Jamie Spears filed a police report in North Hollywood on Friday stating that several small personal items had been removed daughters home in the wake of her hospitalization.
Before he got to the hospital Sunday afternoon, Britney called him at least four times on his cell phone, starting at 1:30 p.m., Spears said, asking him what he was doing and when he would be able to visit, and requesting that he bring her some vanilla ice cream.
Hurry up and get here, she said, per the filing. When Spears asked her why she was so anxious, she said, Because you have got to get me out of here.
