TOP STORY - THE DEATH OF HEATH LEDGER

- Using the actors cellphone, Heath Ledgers masseuse called actress Mary-Kate Olsen twice in California before dialing 911. She said she arrived at his New York City apartment at 2:45 p.m. on Tuesday and called his cell phone at 3 p.m. When he did not answer, she entered the bedroom and set up her masseuse table. She then went over to him in his bed and shook him, but got no response. He was pronounced dead soon afterward - US

- Heath Ledger had been having problems sleeping, particularly since signing on to play the role of the Joker in Chris Nolans upcoming Batman epic "The Dark Knight"- PEOPLE

- Britney Spears showed up at a Beverly Hills elementary school, saying she was there to pick up someone elses kids. The pop star, who lost custody of her own young sons on Jan 4, parked her car outside the school and spent 10 minutes smoking cigarettes and talking to herself while she waited for classes to let out. "She was just rambling and confused," said a witness who approached Spears to ask if she was OK.
