Los Angeles (E! Online) - Kevin Federline is looking to give Britney Spears lots of alone time to think about where she went wrong.
Sources close to K-Feds legal camp told E! News Friday that the divorced dads attorney, Mark Vincent Kaplan, plans to ask the court to keep Spears cut off from her kids until April in light of her disturbing three-hour-plus confrontation with police and paramedics at her home last week.
Another custody hearing is scheduled for Monday to address Spears recent behavior, which resulted in the Toxic singer being stripped of her already monitored visitation privileges last Friday. Federline was awarded sole legal and physical custody.
In court Thursday, Kaplan filed a motion requesting the Los Angeles Police Departments report detailing what went down at Spears house and the names of the officers involved.
Witnesses Kaplan is planning to call Monday could include cops, firefighters and other people who were involved in Spears Jan. 3 meltdown. The bizarre turn of events was set off when Federlines bodyguard arrived at the pop stars Studio City home at a prearranged time to pick up two-year-old Sean Preston and 16-month-old Jayden James--and Spears refused to hand them over.
After finally turning the boys over to Federlines camp at around 10:50 p.m., Spears was transported by ambulance to L.A.s Cedars-Sinai Medical Center to be physically and psychologically evaluated. She was kept there on a medical hold until Saturday morning,
Kaplan characterized the upcoming hearing as very important--important enough, perhaps, for Spears to make a personal appearance to prove that shes serious about mending her ways, he said.
The attorney maintained that Federline still wants Spears to be a big part of the kids life and is not looking to boot her out of the picture once and for all.
L.A. Superior Court Commissioner Scott Gordon, who in presiding over months of custody proceedings has been privy to Spears increasing unpredictability throughout, has so far denied a motion from the beleaguered stars camp requesting that Mondays session be closed to the public, meaning the media could be allowed to observe. Most of the Spears-Federline sit-downs have been kept under wraps.
Spears 50-50 custody arrangement with Federline went kaput in October after Gordon ruled that she had violated the terms of a court order instructing her to, among other things, refrain from nonprescription substances around the kids, submit to twice-weekly drug testing and get her insurance and license paperwork in order before driving the kids around.
Until last Friday, Spears had been enjoying thrice-weekly supervised visits with Sean and Jayden, including one overnight per week.
Since her release from the hospital, Spears has been spotted on a near-daily basis enjoying her freedom with new paparazzo-pal-and-possibly-more Adnan Ghalib. According to various tabloid reports, the duo have logged time in Palm Desert, Santa Barbara and Mexico this past week.
