HEATH LEDGER'S FAMILY ARRIVES IN NEW YORK



It's been a whirlwind week for family, friends, and fans of Heath Ledger. And as his funeral draws closer, members of the Aussie actor are beginning to arrive in New York City.

According to Funeral Director Dominic Carella, Ledger's father Kim will be arriving today from Perth, Australia. He'll most likely be joined by two of Heath's uncles, Mike and Hayden Ledger (they were on CBS's The Early Show via satellite earlier this week).

Neil Bell, another uncle living in California, revealed to press that he was shocked to learn of the "10 Things I Hate About You" actor's death on the news. "I heard about his death in the press, and I called his mother to find out what was happening, and even she didn't know. Heath's father found out through the press. ... It's a pretty devastating way to find out."

As for funeral arrangements, the Frank E. Campbell funeral chapel isn't revealing any details. General manager George Amado told press, "The family doesn't want us to give out any information."
