Hasselbeck, Baby Return to View (E! Online)

Los Angeles (E! Online) - The ladies of the View welcomed a pair of fresh faces to Mondays show--one old and one brand-spanking new.

Cohost Elisabeth Hasselbeck returned to the femme-fueled show after spending more than two months on maternity leave, bringing with her the reason for her absence, her two-month-old son, Taylor Thomas.

I thought Id bring a little testosterone to the table today, she said while cradling the tot, who alternately behaved himself and cried, rather aptly, like a baby.

Hes huge, Hasselbeck said of her bite-happy son with football hubby Tim. Hes almost like 12 pounds, I think. Hes just constantly on me. I call myself the Dairy Queen.

Cohosts Whoopi Goldberg, Joy Behar and Sherri Shepherd were on hand to welcome the bambino to the View fold during the homecoming episode, which was, in honor of the conservatives return, guest-free and entirely devoted to Hot Topics. Den mother Barbara Walters was not present and was said to have been on assignment.

Shepherd was the first to lavish compliments on her cohort, telling Hasselbeck, You dont even look like you were pregnant. You are so tiny.

The 30-year-old mother of two shared her get-fit-quick trick with mothers everywhere: Wear a print.

Taylor Thomas is the second child for the Hasselbecks, who already have a daughter, two-year-old Grace, whom Elisabeth described on Mondays show as being such a good big sister.

The former reality star first announced her pregnancy in April and began her maternity leave earlier than expected, on Oct. 23, in order to allow her and her husband time to relocate to Arizona, where Tim had recently been signed as quarterback for the Cardinals, before the boys birth.

As it is, the tot not only made his television debut on the chat show but was given his worldwide introduction via the shows airwaves as well. Hasselbeck announced the boys name in a phone call to the show just three days after his birth.
