CATE BLANCHETT'S GROWING SUCCESS
Expecting her third child in April, mother-to-be Cate Blanchett looked radiant as she arrived at the 2007 Sydney Theatre Awards at the Paddington RSL on Monday morning.
The award-winning actress and her director husband Andrew Upton have grown passionate about theatrical works, recently taking over artistic director duties for the Sydney Theatre Company.
Meanwhile, Cate is also creating quite a buzz this awards season. According to recent reports, "The elegant Australian is likely to be nominated for two Oscars and join a small, elite group of Hollywood actresses to have received such a double honor."
During the announcement ceremony, scheduled for this Wednesday, Blanchett is expected to grab nominations for best actress for Elizabeth: The Golden Age and best supporting actress for I'm Not There.
If she were to win the two acting Oscars at this year's ceremony, Cate would hold claim to an achievement that has never been accomplished before.
